In 2015 Jatarious relocated to Washington, DC for a congressional internship.
In 2016, Jatarious was elected Secretary of the DC Young Democrats. In this role, he streamlined communications and worked to increase youth voter engagement across the District. That same year, he was elected Vice President of Administration for the Gertrude Stein Democratic Club, where he has improved the organization’s operations, digital communications, and outreach. In 2019 Jatarious was re-elected to a second term as Vice President of Administration to continue improving the organization's operations and outreach. He is currently serving his second term as President of the Capital Stonewall Democrats, formerly the Gertrude Stein Democratic Club.
He most enjoys DC’s food culture and scenery, in addition to the city's walkability.
